Executive Division

Director: Matthew J. Friedman, MD, PhD

Deputy Executive Director: Paula Schnurr, PhD

The Executive Division, located in White River Junction, VT, directs the policy and program planning of the National Center. Research focuses on psychotherapy and disaster mental health. The Division manages the Center's website, Resource Center, and PILOTS database and produces the PTSD Research Quarterly.

PTSD Resource Center

The PTSD Resource Center, directed by Fred Lerner DLS, is the largest collection of trauma related books and articles in the world. This library is located here at our Executive Division in White River Junction, VT. The Resource Center produces the PILOTS database, a comprehensive electronic index to journal articles, book chapters, government reports, and other publications on PTSD and related mental health consequences of exposure to traumatic events. Electronic information, including abstracts, is available online to the public at large. This database also provides links to PDFs of articles written by National Center staff.
